Today........

.................I was a fattie and that is all. I lost 8 freaking lbs in less than 2 weeks. Blame it on stress and oatmeal. I think i gained it all back today. I am officially an emotional eater. I can't deny it anymore. I just needed to feel like a human being. So with my bottle of frozen water on my head secured firmly with my hoodie (don't ask me any questions), i sat on my couch, turned on the TV, lucked in on The office, microwaved some rice and chicken at 10.30pm, even though i was nowhere near hungry, carried a set of lecture notes and powered through.

In case u missed it.....I'm a seasoned multitasker (yeah roight). I ate, watched tv and studied at the same time. For all of 30 minutes. I just needed to finish that lecture and that makes lecture 38 of 84. So yeah, back to my fattie day. I started the day off craving fried snails that i haven't had in over 9 yrs, i had oatmeal for breakfast, 2 sandwiches for lunch and a banana muffin. Then some peanuts, half a cookie, and some juice. I'm usually not a big eater. I was full but wanted to eat something hence the rice. Right now my stomach is uncomfortably full but i feel better. So i'm off to take a 30 min power nap. I can't believe i just spent time blogging when i should have been napping. I have issues.

Does anyone know where to get this in America or should i just curb my long throat until i make it back to naija (if ever)?

  2. Tell my stomach that o. It's FULL. Add some juice and half a cookie to that list :) You don't really get a break from studying in med school. After my block 3 exams i immediately had to start studying for finals cos we got new stuff for blk 4 and 2 of the courses have cumulative finals. I get done at the end of the month. Literally.

  5. LOL! Adaeze...i said don't ask. But since it's u, i'll answer. It's the only way i can keep studying sometimes because my brain just feels funny. Actually the top of my head. Like when menthol is evaporating/burning sensation. If i put something cool on the top of my head, it feel better for as long as i have it on. I know it's as a result of tiredness though cos it goes away when i have time to sleep properly. Thankfully, it's not a headache which i think would be much worse.

Social life is the last thing on my mind right now. I have all summer to play. But if i don't do well, there will be no playing in my future. Let's not even think about that. Pele o! Hang in there.

  6. I was exactly the same when studying for my exams...I would eat and eat and eat till my stomach hurt. I think I felt the need to eat so much because the motion of chewing kept me awake.

I had to eat tortilla chips when studying, they were the crunchiest thing I could find so it was guaranteed to keep me awake!

  7. Well, studying always makes me really hungry. I almost never feel guilty about indulging my cravings because I convince myself that it's all for a good cause. *winks*

Go ahead and have that cookie if it helps keep you sane. All the best in your studies.

  9. Hi sting, any idea why your full posts don't show up in applications like Google Reader anymore? As someone who reads blogs on a cell phone the convenience of Google reader is lost. Just thought i'd bring this to your attentions.

Thanks from a long time blog follower.
