.....so says comedian Princess
“I am so happy I’m now getting married, I can now proudly wear iro n buba like a Nigerian woman…God bless that young man that picked me and decided to pity me and marry me when I had given up all…I am saying this because I want you all to hear it, God bless him for me for covering up my shame”
This is what happens when you live in a society where a woman is only respected if she is married. I don't blame her for writing this. I am happy that she has found someone to cover her shame (I just cringed writing that). I guess by naija standards she had passed her expiration date.
O ma ga o!
I guess it's not easy becoming a MARRIED woman.

she is a comedian oh.... i guess she was just joking
ReplyDeleteWhere's the joke here? Aren't jokes supposed to be funny?
DeleteYeah,I read somewhere she made this statement at some function and it was meant to be funny/a joke.
ReplyDeleteI would love to believe that's what it really was
I sincerely hope so. It made me cringe to think she spoke those words seriously.
DeleteI promise you this is no joke, but then like you said, we live in a society where women are measured by the yards of husband material they are able to purchase...
ReplyDeleteShe is getting married May 8. I don't think this was a joke.
DeleteI think it was a joke, either way, its a very expensive joke that can be misunderstood cause it could also be how she truly feels. I wish her all d best!
ReplyDeleteUgh so disgusting. I felt like throwing up. I really hope it was a joke
